Abstract Submission Guidelines and
Deadlines

Abstract Submission Requirements
Participants are requested to submit abstracts for poster
or oral presentations. The INA Scientific Committee will select
a small number of oral presentations from the abstracts submitted.
There is no charge for submitting an abstract. First (submitting)
Authors do not need to be a member of INA. However, an INA
member must either be a co-author on the abstract or serve
as a sponsor of the abstract.
Abstracts are invited on the following
topics:
· Neurotoxicology
· Environmental and Occupational
· Toxicogenomics
· Neurological Disorders
· Developmental Neurotoxicology
· Nervous System
· Heavy Metals
· Pesticides · Solvents
Abstract Submission Policies
An individual may be First Author (Presenting Author) on only
one abstract. The Presenting Author's name must be first on
the abstract. There is no limit to the number of times an
individual may appear as co-author or sponsor on abstracts.
All first authors must register, pay full registration fees
and attend the meeting. There is a reduced registration fee
for INA members and early registrants (see INA Home Page at
http://www.neurotoxicology.org).
By submitting an abstract the First Author acknowledges and
certifies for all authors that any human or animal research
reported was conducted in compliance with IRB and/or IACUC
approval as well as in accord with NIH Policies and/or the
Declaration of Helsinki.
Commercial Relationships Disclosure
First Authors and co-authors are required to disclose any
commercial relationships relevant to the content of the abstract.
This should be placed at the end of the abstract and put on
the poster or in the slide presentation.
Submitting the Abstract
Only on-line abstract submissions will be accepted via www.isas.co.il/ina-12
The abstracts must use the following format in order to be
reviewed. Use 8" x 11" sized paper, 1.5" top and bottom margins,
1.5" left and right margins, and 12 point Arial font. No images
or tables are allowed in the abstract. The Title should be
bolded in ALL capital letters. All authors' complete names
and affiliations should be listed below the title. The sponsor's
name should be noted in parentheses after the authors' names.
The First Author, who will be contacted if there is any abstract-related
correspondence, must provide their email address below the
affiliations.
The body of the abstract should contain the following headings:
Purpose, Methods, Results and Conclusions in bolded letters.
Abstract submissions will be accepted until April 19, 2009
at 5:00 PM EST.
Student first authors should list "student" after their name
to allow their abstracts to be eligible for the student symposium.
It is recommended that you use Internet Explorer 6.0 or 7.0
for Windows. For Macintosh users Safari 2.0 or 3.0. Mozilla
and Firefox are supported, but are not optimum and may result
in performance issues. JavaScript and Cookies must be enabled.
A fax or hardcopy should be sent to the secretariat.
Confirmation and Reviewing of Complete
Abstract
The First Authors of properly completed abstracts
will be notified by e-mail to confirm their abstract submission.
All properly completed abstracts will be reviewed by the INA
Scientific Program Committee under strict confidentiality.
First Authors will be notified by May 5, 2009 whether their
abstract was accepted and for what format (Poster and/or Oral
Communication). Accepted abstracts will be printed in the
Abstract Book.
