Depart Tel Aviv 08:00 AM and continue north past Netanya. Tour King Herod's ancient Roman port city of Caesaria, Hippodrome and Crusader buildings. Pass vineyards Baron Rothschild planted 100 years ago. Pass the Carmel Mountains, Stella Maris, Bahai Gardens and exit Haifa north towards Acco. Break for lunch (not included). Visit Acco Crusader sites and UNESCO Heritage underground city. Tour ancient port city and the marketplace. Return about 18:00.

The Cardo – The main artery of ancient Jerusalem
Herodian – Josephus describes this fortress "with round towers, and it has a steep ascent formed of two hundred steps of hewn stone. Within it are costly royal apartments made for security and for ornament at the same time. At the base of the hill there are pleasure grounds built in such a way so that water, which is lacking in that place, is brought in from a distance and at great expense. The surrounding plain was built up as a city second to none, with the hill serving as an acropolis for the other dwellings."
Return to Tel Aviv 18:00.

Depart Tel Aviv 08:00 AM and descend through the beautiful scenery of the Judean Desert to the lowest point on Earth - the Dead Sea. Drive along the sea, pass by Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found and continue to Masada - ascend via cable car to the ancient fortress built by Herod the Great in the 1st Century B.C.E. which was the last Jewish stronghold during the revolt against the Romans. Bring water, hat, walking shoes, bathing suit & towel (there may be time for a dip in the Dead Sea). Lunch not included. Return to Tel Aviv via Jerusalem about 18:00

Tour Jaffa, the ancient port city and the shuk (marketplace), Mosque Hasan Bek, and experience ancient history from biblical Joshua, Romans, Greek, Macabbeans & Napoleon. Visit the Etzel Museum describing Israel's modern history until the 1948 War of Independence. Afterwards tour the first homes of Tel Aviv in the Suzanne Dalal Center. Witness the rejuvenation project of this almost 100 year old section of Tel Aviv.
