Depart Jerusalem 8:00 a.m.
Pass the Inn of the Good Samaritan and descend through the beautiful scenery of the Judean Desert to the lowest point on Earth – the Dead Sea. Drive along the sea, pass by Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found and continue to Masada – ascend via cable car to the ancient fortress built by Herod the Great in the 1st Century B.C.E. which was the last Jewish stronghold during the revolt against the Romans. Bring water, hat, walking shoes, bathing suit & towel (there may be time for a dip in the Dead Sea). Return to Jerusalem.

Depart Jerusalem hotel 08:00. Tour Jerusalem, including 3000 year old City of David, the Western Wall underground tunnels, Mt. Zion, King David’s Tomb, the Room of the Last-Supper, Dormision Church, Zion Gate. Visit the Cardo, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Tomb, exit the Old City via Jaffa Gate.

Depart Kinar Hotel 09:30. A panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee, the Jordan Valley and the southern Golan Heights. At the Shalom observatory we enjoy the view across the Sea of Galilee. Tour ancient Gamla. At Katzerin we visit both the museum and the excavated remains of the Talmudic city. View the Syrian border and realize geopolitical intrigues.
