Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are delighted to invite you to an international conference on “Treatment Modalities for
Eating Disorders: Consensus and Controversy”. The conference will take place in English and
Hebrew on February 4-5, 2013 in the Ramada Hotel in Jerusalem, Israel. The conference will
have a clinical focus, offering professionals from all disciplines who treat eating disorders an
opportunity to broaden their knowledge about topics on which there is consensus as well as
about more controversial issues in the field. We aim to present a comprehensive, varied, thought-
provoking and informative program appropriate for professionals from a wide range of disciplines
including family and internal medicine, endocrinology, gynecology, pediatrics, sports medicine,
pediatric/adolescent and adult psychiatry, the expressive therapies, nursing, nutrition and
dietetics, psychology, social work, and school counseling. Each day’s program will include four
plenary lectures, parallel workshops, and short paper sessions on clinical and research issues. All
plenary lectures, as well as most of the workshops and some parallel paper sessions will be held in
English. Some workshops and short presentations, as well as an optional Teaching Day on Sunday
afternoon, February 3, will be held in Hebrew.
